MTV Video Music Awards is a tradition born in 1984, the occasion marks a style of young pop culture extravaganza, with performances and sketches with the top names in corporate-approved subversion. The former Destiny's Child singer even managed to outshine Lady Gaga in drag, who picked up 2 awards and Katy Perry – also known as Mrs Russell Brand – who won three, which includes video of the year.

Yet another vital second came during Jay-Z & Kanye West's "surprise" collaborative performance from the Watch The Throne track "Otis," complete with pyrotechnics and a huge American flag. Just the way in which the two fellas orbited one another onstage made it complex not to wish to go buy tickets to The Throne tour immediately.

The MTV VMAs annually turn up the total on surprises and outrageous acts by the world's top singers and bands. Legendary soul singer Tony Bennett and pop star Bruno Mars took portion in the tribute on the late soul singer Amy Winehouse, who recently died. Hurricane Irene Could be a Recor Disaster

Hurricane Irene is kind of likely to be the 10th billion-dollar disaster of 2011, breaking 2008's history for number of billion-dollar disasters a year, in accordance with preliminary estimates.

In between the summer floods, tornados, blizzards and drought, 2011 had already a racked up nine natural disasters that cost at least $1 billion each, tying 2008's record. If damage estimates hold, Irene would make 2011 a record-breaker.

Nobody knows what the final toll of Irene is going to be, but estimates were higher as the hurricane churned toward the Carolinas on Friday (Aug. 26) being a Category two storm with winds of up to 105 miles per hour (169 kilometers per hour). By 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, the National Weather Service reported that winds were picking up speed along the North Carolina coast. Hurricane-force winds are anticipated in that location overnight Friday, with hurricane conditions arriving along the mid-Atlantic coast by Saturday afternoon.

The news firm Bloomberg reported Thursday (Aug. 25) that risk assessor Kinetic Analysis Corp. had estimated that Irene could possibly cause $13.9 billion in insured losses and $20 billion in total economic losses when factors such as lost work hours and disruption of transport are factored in.

Will and Jada Smith's Marriage still Intack

Will Smith and wife of 13 years Jada Pinkett Smith were rumored to be headed for splitsville this full week, but it appears as if both are just fine in their marriage. At the least that is what they're stating -- along with stars like Justin Bieber.

Just days after InTouch Weekly said the couple had separated, the couple was seen out in public smiling and laughing, and the Bieb even wrote in regards to the satisfied couple on his Twitter page. And, the Bieb doesn't lie.

The 17-year-old star, who is close friends with the couple's teen son Jaden, wrote on his page: "Will and Jada are one of the best couples ever. #FACT #real"

And, Jaden has also been tweeting with the hashtag "#ItsAllLies." The couple also responded to the rumor on the statement that read: "Although we're reluctant to respond to these forms of press news, the rumors circulating about our relationship are totally false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact."

Although the language seems somewhat strange, but they do deny they're heading for divorce. And, yesterday the couple was spotted out having a blast together and smiling to the cameras. Convincing, right? Well, there's numerous speculation that there is certainly one thing going on involving both, but no one's quite sure what.

Atlanta Braves Beat Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3 in 19 innings

The longest game in Atlanta Braves history ended at 1:50 a.m. Wednesday on a call so controversial, it  more than made up for any the Braves felt went against them earlier.

Julio Lugo slid and was called safe on a play at the plate in the 19th inning for a 4-3 win against Pittsburgh at Turner Field,  though replays clearly showed Pirates catcher Michael McKenry applied the tag well before Lugo touched the plate.

"That’s the way baseball goes," said Braves relief pitcher Scott Proctor (2-3), whose fielder's choice grounder to third with one out gave him both a win and a game-winning RBI. "I’m not saying anything else.”

The weary Braves had a 4-3 win over the Pirates that took six hours and 39 minutes, cost Atlanta its All-Star catcher for at least the next 15 days, and might have provided further impetus for Braves general manager Frank Wren to make a trade this week to strengthen the team's offense.

As inconsistent as that offense has been lately, it's now without its best hitter for a while after Brian McCann injured the oblique muscle in his left side while making a throw to second base in the 10th inning. He'll go on the 15-day disabled list and Triple-A journeyman J.C. Boscan will  serve as David Ross' backup until McCann returns.

"Chipper [Jones] will be back in a couple of days," Ross said. "Get him back, we'll be alright. We really need Mac, though.  It’s going to be a big loss. There’s no way to hide that. The guy's a stud. He's an MVP candidate.

"There’s no way to replace that. I’m just going to try to do the best I can and play my game and try to help this team win.”

Wren was on a cell phone in his private suite above home plate, talking with someone during the seventh inning as he watched his hitters flail on the field below during the longest game ever played by either the Atlanta Braves or the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The Braves went 2-for-19 with runners in scoring position Tuesday after going 0-for-5 in those situations during Monday's 3-1 series-opening loss to the Pirates. They left 23 runners on base Tuesday and had 15 hits, all singles, including two from McCann before he left in the 10th.

The game lasted 29 minutes longer than the previous longest in Atlanta history, a 19-inning game against the New York mets on July 4, 1985 at Fulton County Stadium.

Miss Teen USA 2011- Danielle Doty

51 delegates from different states can make their everything just to prove which they worth to prove some thing. The Miss Teen USA pageant crowned a new titleholder on Saturday (July 16): Danielle Doty of Harlingen, Texas.

The 18-year-old beat out Audra Mari of North Dakota to win the title and will take over from reigning Miss Teen USA Kamie Crawford of Maryland. The other finalists were Alexis Swanstrom (California, second runner-up), Taylor Clark (Kansas, third runner-up) and Sydnee Stottlemyre (Missouri, fourth runner-up).

Super Bowl XLV Highlights

  Super Bowl XLV is an American football game between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 2010 season. The game was held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas last February 6, 2011. The game was won by the Packers defeating the Steelers in the score of 31–25. Aaron Rodgers, Packers quarterback was named Super Bowl MVP, completing 24 of 39 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns.

Natalie Portman Welcomes a Baby Boy...

It’s a fascinating weeks time for Natalie Portman, as she and her fiancé Benjamin Millepied welcomed a baby boy!

The “Garden State” babe and her French-born ballet boy are proud mom and dad and feel thrilled to generally be embarking on parenthood.

Portman, 30, met Millepied, a choreographer, during the shooting of ballet drama Black Swan, which also fetched the actress her initial Oscar for her efficiency being a disturbed dancer.

In December, the two announced that they were engaged and are expecting their first child.

Typically protective about her individual life, Portman had publicly announced her joy as an expectant mother. "I'm indescribably glad and feel very grateful to have this experience," she had said.

Natalie met Benjamin on the set of her critically acclaimed film the“Black Swan” and so they had an rapid connection, determined by an insider.

"It was seductive to watch them. There was no way the attraction could be missed. I don't think he could help himself -- she really dazzling!"

As Portman’s pregnancy progressed, she toldthe press, "One of the most exciting things about getting pregnant is that I'm accepting the exact unknown. It is a total mystery and miracle. It's genuinely just accepting that I have no notion, which is what all of us live every day.”

Alyssa Campanella Crowned Miss USA 2011

A 21-year-old auburn-haired California model won the Miss USA crown Sunday night and will be representing the nation in this year's Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe pageant is scheduled for Sept. 12 from Sao Paolo, Brazil.  And last year's winner was Mexico's Jimena Navarrete.

Alyssa Campanella of Los Angeles topped a subject of 51 beauty queens to take on the title in the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Las Vegas Strip. She strutted across the stage in a blue bikini with white polka dots and a dark turquoise Sherri Hill evening gown with beading on its top.

She also answered a question about legalizing marijuana by saying she didn't think it should be fully legalized as a option to help ailing economies.

Campanella told reporters in a news conference after the pageant that the win validated her determination to quickly move to Los Angeles from New Jersey after dropping an apartment.

"The downs happen for a reason," she said. "The route that I'm on now is the route that's been meant to be."

Alyssa Campanella of Los Angeles says on Twitter that she was born in the wrong time period and played the famous pig-exploding game Angry Bird backstage on her iPad before the pageant Sunday night.

She hopes to keep modeling following her function as Miss USA is finished, depending on how she does representing the country at Miss Universe in September in Brazil.

The celebrity she'd most prefer to meet, now that she's one herself? Pastry chef Buddy Valastro of TLC reality show Cake Boss.

"I love to bake cakes, and he's an Italian, and he acts like I do in the kitchen," the 21-year-old said after beating 50 other hopefuls in Miss USA's 60th pageant at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.

"Right now, I'm still kind of like - whoa!," Campanella said. Campanella replaces Miss USA 2010 Rima Fakih. The 25-year-old from Michigan teared up as she walked across the stage for her final goodbye.

So You Think You Can Dance Contestants Avoid Elimination

So You Think You Can Dance judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy and guest judge Megan Mullally made a decision to eliminate no one during Thursday night's live results show on Fox, which was supposed to show the eliminations of one male and a single female dancer to reduce the Top 20 to the Top 18.

Previously in the episode, So You Think You Can Dance host Cat Deeley had revealed the bottom three couples determined by home viewer votes cast immediately following Wednesday night's performance broadcast.

The six members of the bottom three couples were required each to dance solo in their own style to make an effort to be saved by the judges and proceed in the competition.

Here's what the announcement was:

"I'm sorry to say, we've never ever done this, but we are not going to let anybody go home this week," Lythgoe said at the end of Thursday night's live broadcast. "But, let me say this. Listen very, very carefully. Don't get too excited. Two couples will go home next week. Don't get too excited, everybody."

American Idol's 11th Season Audition Dates by Fox

Fox has announced American Idol's 11th-season auditions that will kick-off on Tuesday, June 28 at Scottrade Center in the St. Louis, MO area.

Besides St. Louis location, auditions will also take place in six other locations: Portland, OR; San Diego, CA; Pittsburgh, PA; Charleston, SC; Denver, CO; and Houston, TX.

American Idol's eleventh season will use the same 15 to 28-years-old age selection that the reality competition introduced last season.

The 2011 U.S. Open Championship is coming live this week from June 13-19, 2011, and now is the time to get in touch. American Idol 2011 Top 11 Round 2 Elimination

Naima Adedapo, a 26-year-old from Milwaukee, WI, and Thia Megia, a 16-year-old Mountain House, CA resident, became the third and fourth finalists sent home from American Idol's tenth seasonwith the fewest home viewer votes following Wednesday night's performance show, which featured the Top 11 finalists performing Elton John songs.

Ryan Seacrest said they’re shaking things up, then he explains that Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery are going to a duet. They performed their version of “I Told You So.”

Naima Adedapo and Jacob Lusk are called up to sing a duet together with their own version of the song “Solid”.

Fantasia gave an enjoyable performance.  Then the song version of “Teenage Dream” from Haley Reinhart, Thia Megia and Pia Toscano.

The last to perform were Paul McDonald, James Durbin, Casey Abrams and Stefano Langone. Their foursome performance of the song “Band on the Run”. And this sums up the over-all performance of the final 11 contetants, and the last for the 2 girls eliminated.

Royal Visit: Kate Middleton and Prince William's Surprise Visits

As their Royal Wedding is just around the corner- Britain's most-watched couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton visited Westminster Abbey last Monday night –known as the first joint appearance by the royal couple at the chapel which was set to serve as backdrop to their nuptials.

Accordingly, the couples were advised by Prince Charles, who has "always taken a close interest in classical and church music," the source says, and they will have chosen which music will be used and which they wanted to omit. "They looked relaxed and seemed to enjoy themselves," says the source. "They are obviously very keen that everything should be right on the big day."

Prince William and Kate Middleton continued their royal road trip around the U.K.,making an unannounced goodwill stop in Northern Ireland on Tuesday, even flipping hotcakes for a local charity.

The couple, both 29, took the potential security risk of the visit in their stride as they chatted with onlookers, spoke to young children and tried their hand at tossing traditional "shrove" of last Tuesday's pancakes.

 Tomorrow night will air ABC's Rascal Flatts, the very first network TV special dubbed Rascal Flatts: Nothing Like This - which will be presented by JCPenney. The show is said to run for an hour and will showcase guests like Natasha Bedingfield and of course! the teen heartthrob Justin Bieber.

While last March 10, teen singer Justin Bieber caused a frenzy at a Liverpool hotel when he was flocked by thousands of fans that came to see him. This male heartthrob sensation turned 17 is currently touring the UK and within hours of his arrival at the hotel girls went crazy as they really want to see him, according to an eyewitness told UK newspaper Daily Star:
Justin Bieber had to be kept inside the Hard Days Night Hotel and he was warned not to come out of the hotel or he would be arrested by police for inciting a riot

American Idol's Carrie Underwood @ 28, Happy Birthday!

One of the hottest and sensational country singers- Carrie Underwood is celebrating her 28th birthday today- and that’s today! (March 10, 2011). She is the winner of the fourth season of "American Idol" will undoubtedly be celebrating in style together with his husband, hockey player Mike Fisher. Her first birthday as Mrs. Fisher.

Her debut album, Some Hearts, which was certified seven times platinum, the fastest selling debut country album in Nielsen SoundScan history.

She has also paved for her carreer, the “Jesus Take the Wheel” hottie has had over ten no. 1 hit songs on the Billboard charts . Underwood has since become a multi-platinum selling recording artist, a multiple Grammy Award winner, a Grand Ole Opry inductee, a Golden Globe Award nominee, a three-time Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Female Vocalist winner.

Carrie Underwood is not only busy with creating and sharing her sweet musics, she is also devoting much of her time and money to various charities, including the Save the Children program.

The terms "Mardi Gras", "Mardi Gras season", and "Carnival season" in English, refers to events of the Carnival celebrations, beginning on or after Epiphany and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras is French for "Fat Tuesday". Mardi Gras falls on a Tuesday between February 3 and March 9 of every year. The festival of Mardi Gras dates back 5,000 years, but it didn’t come to America until 1699 with the French explorer, Iberville, and the first parades officially began in 1838.

In Louisiana, thousands of King Cakes are consumed during the Mardi Gras season each year, starting on the twelfth night and extending through Mardi Gras Day ("Fat Tuesday"). The original Mardi Gras King Cakes were only a simple ring of dough with little decoration. But now, the contemporary New Orleans style King Cakes are brightly decorated ringed cakes that come in many sizes and variations containing Mardi Gras Colored pieces of fruit, sugars, and various types of filling.
 

Sydney Mardi Gras was began in June 1978, in an effort to commemorate the Stonewall Riots that spurred the modern Gay Rights Movement in New York City in June of 1969. The Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras is an annual gay pride parade and festival for the LGBT community in Sydney, Australia, and is the largest such event in the world.

Maria Carey and Nick Cannon's Pink and Blue Baby Shower

Mariah and Nick celebrate the upcoming arrival of their twins at a lavish pink-and-blue themed baby shower weekend.

Mariah Carey, 41, and Nick Cannon, 30, held their their adults-only shower at the The Conservatory Grill (rooftop restaurant) of the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills last Sunday night of March 6. They filled the place with pink-and-blue balloons, pink roses and blue hydrangeas, for honor their twins, a boy and girl they're expecting. 

"Mariah and Nick seem very excited and anxious about finally having their babies," a source witness tells Us Magazine, She couldn't wait to celebrate her baby twins with her friends." The started at  around 7 p.m.as Nick and Mariah arrived in a black Rolls Royce. It was said that unborn twins received many gifts that includes a two "almost life-size" stuffed giraffes and and hand-made chairs.They had a blast with their guests, including American Idol judge Randy Jackson.

'Rango' Tops Weekend as Depp's Latest Hollywood Movie Success

Johnny Depp's voiced animated flick, "Rango" which was distributed by Paramount Pictures landed home the number one spot at the movie box office with an estimated $38 million, from 3,917 theaters to score the top opening of 2011 for a non-holiday weekend.At $38 million, Rango is the no. 6 highest opening weekend for Depp behind the of Pirates of the Caribbean, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Alice in Wonderland.

Landing at No. 2 after Rango was Universal Pictures' The Adjustment Bureau that stars Matt Damon-Emily Blunt. The sci-fi romance thriller opened to a solid $20,945,000 from 2,840 theaters. In no. 3 was CBS film Beastly, starring former High School Musical Star, Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer with $10.1 million from 1,952 theaters. Rounding out the spot for no. 4 and 5 were Hall Pass and Gnomeo and Juliet.

ALVAREZ Claims 154 lbs WBC Crown Title Over HATTON

Mexican sensation Saul Alvarez became the youngest world champion in super welterweight division defeating Britain's Matthew Hatton for the vacant slot crown of the WBC (World Boxing Council).

Manny "PacMan" Pacquiao, Philippines' pride and superstar vacated the crown ahead for May 7 bout with WBA Welterweight Super Champion, Shane "Sugar Shane" Mosley that prompted the Mexico-based WBC to give the crown to whoever wins between Alvarez and Hatton.

Alvarez, a 20-year-old freckled redhead dominated nearly every minute, outpointing Matthew Hatton on Saturday night to win the vacant WBC 154-pound belt over a unanimous decision. Saul Alvarez whose nickname is "Canelo" , which is a Spanish word for cinnamon, on Saturday improved to 36-0-1 (26 KO's), after the fight with Hatton. All of the judges scored the bout 119-108 in favor of Alvarez.

Alvarez clearly has the edge, being much bigger, younger and more athletic, stalking forward and landing multiple shots that bloodied Hatton’s face. A pair of right hands from Alvarez connected to Hatton's head-landing several dynamite combinations in the late 10th round that rocked a stunned Hatton .While 47 percent of Alvarez's 626 punches connected , Hatton has only connected 25 percent of his 546 blows.

Katie Holmes Sued Star Magazine

Publishers of Star Magazine were sued of libel case by Katie Holmes over a cover of the magazine apparently insinuating her as a drug addict. The actress reportedly filed a lawsuit against American Media Inc, stating that the January cover issue was false, malicious and does not support the real story in the magazine.

Holmes was quoted to have said that, "Of all the fabricated stories that continue to be published about me, this instance is beyond the pale", and continued that,"The publisher knew this outrageous story was false and printed it anyway to sell magazines"

And in this issue, the tabloid-Star Magazine explained that they are standing by their own statements in lieu of the controversy stated that the Star Magazine fully stands behind the editorial integrity of what they have published concerning Holmes' controversial use of the Scientology 'e-meter. And said in a statement that reads, "The physical effect of the e-meter on its users is a matter of significant public concern and we plan to vigorously defend the suit filed by Ms. Holmes", and the statement continues on, "Our attorneys look forward to deposing Ms. Holmes about her experiences with Scientology and the e-meter, and expect that the case will be promptly dismissed by the court,"

Both were adorable in matching Dolce & Gabbana ensembles , Justin on a suit for Justin while Selena is dressed in a classy red dress Both really look great and charming together and will really make a good couple (both being awesome in their field of  work). The chemistry between the couple has been making headlines since a long time and with one of their latest Carribean vacation together.

Dancing With The Stars Season 12 New Casts Introduced

The hosts of "Dancing With The Stars" Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke introduced 11 familiar faces to the ballroom. Dancing with the Stars returns on March 21.

Reality star and Playboy bunny Kendra Wilkinson is on board. Actress Kirstie Alley, model/actress Petra Nemcova, Disney star Chelsea Kane, and talk show host Wendy Williams is also joining after turning it down before.

Sugar Ray Leonard has is the first male boxer to stepped into the ring of dance floor. 'Karate Kid' ,Ralph Macchio may know how to wax on and wax off, but will he really wax on chest-baring outfit? NFL star Hines Ward is also added, radio personality Mike Catherwood, WWE's pro wrestler Chris Jericho, and singer/rapper Romeo is the last guy to also dare and will try to use up dance shoes.
